The Thrill of the Chase Drop Earrings
Description of design
Chandelier earrings are a red carpet favourite and Mandy wanted to create a piece that was striking without being too heavy. The earrings have been fashioned in three sections. The uppermost section is two oval cut diamonds leading to the next section of two chasing dragonflies. These then link to the main section, where a four further chasing dragonflies form a central spiral with trailing fine platinum chains set with rubover diamonds. This piece could only be made in platinum, due to the fineness of manufacture required in a process which combines cast and wire, CAD and hand finishes.
Inspirations behind the piece
Mandy’s earrings are inspired by the movement and elegance of mating dragonflies. Mandy’s signature style often features movement in her jewellery designs.
About the designer
Mandy has been designing jewellery for 15 years now and it remains her greatest passion. Mandy works for TCJ Design whose ethos is to create beautiful bespoke jewellery which is what Mandy loves doing and where her heart lies.
